A cancer diagnosis brings with it not only physical and emotional challenges, but
often very difficult financial challenges as well – challenges that could become
overwhelming impediments to our patients following their treatment plans.
Thanks to the generosity of the Udell and Minsky families, we can help alleviate
this issue for many of our multiple myeloma patients.

Through our kind gift from the Allyn P. Udell Hello Dolly Foundation, Tulane Cancer
Center has created the:




                Allyn P. Udell Hello Dolly Foundation
         Patient Relief Fund for Multiple Myeloma Patients


This fund will provide vitally needed lodging / living expense assistance to multiple
myeloma patients being treated by Tulane Cancer Center’s Stem Cell Transplant
team. Many of these patients travel here from out of town and require multiple
pre- and post-procedure clinical visits. As you know, lodging can be a major
stressor for these patients, preventing them from focusing as acutely on their care
plans and getting well. Thanks to you, we can ease that burden for many of them.

We are deeply inspired by Allyn Udell’s brave multiple myeloma journey and her
incredibly steadfast “glass more than half full” outlook. And we are truly honored
to have been entrusted with continuing her mission to bring comfort to those
facing the same challenges she did.

We take the faith you have placed in us very seriously and are committed to using
your incredibly impactful gift to help relieve the stress and burden experienced by
families going through the most difficult and scary times in their lives. In this way,
Allyn continues to make positive differences in the journey to survivorship for so
many, and we are humbled and proud to help her continue her work.
