The Udell Family Care Fund steps in to aid patients and families with life's essential needs,
offering a helping hand in times of necessity.
Within Hospice Care Network,our dedication focuses on making everyday count for both
individuals living with an advanced illness and for their loved ones.We strive to ensure our
patients areas comfortable and pain free as possible, aiming to enrich their lives with the highest
quality.

The Allyn P. Udell Hello Dolly Foundation Care Fund, in honor of Kathleen Malhame, stands
ready to aid patients and families by helping with some of life’s vital necessities, many of which
are unexpected and critical. This fund, supported by generous donors, supplies immediate
financial relief—non-medical in nature—to ease the burdens faced by patients and caregivers,
allowing them to concentrate on the vital medical care our patientsneed.
Over the past year, numerous lives have seen an uplift thanks to this fund:
      Financial Relief for a Family in Crisis: One of our patients’ families faced substantial
       financial strain when their caregiver took a leave of absence from their job to address
       their loved one’s medical care. Sadly, their loss of income contributed to their home
       being foreclosed. Distributions from this fund helped ease some of their finical worries,
       which in turn, allowed them to concentrate on their loved one’s care.
      Aid for a Long-Suffering Homeless Family: A patient’s family, who have been
       grappling with homelessness for years, was faced with further financial struggles post the
       patient’s terminal diagnosis.The son of the patient was working tirelessly to help support
       the basic needs of the family, which included hoteling for shelter. The fund stepped in to
       financea celebration of life for the patient, providing a moment of respite from the
       family's overwhelming stress.
      Supporting Pediatric Patients and Families: In a gesture of compassion, the fund
       allocated resources for our social work staff to use when collaborating with our pediatric
       patients and their families. Carefully chosen supplies, such as handprint kits and DIY
       lanterns, were selected to foster soothing experiences, create lasting memories, and aid in
       the coping and bereavement processes.
Our patients and families are forever grateful for the support provided by this most generous
fund.
